Get ready for third grade! I’m looking forward to being your teacher! The reading/writing assignments below will show me how well you read and write. Those will be your first grades in the third grade, so try your best. Have a great summer!

Please complete one assignment for each of the three books you selected from the list above.
Assignment #1 Write a letter to a friend about the book. It must be in friendly letter
reading & writing grade form and have who the main character is, setting, problem,
resolution, and why you liked or disliked the book.
Assignment #2 Compare yourself to the main character in the story.use the Venn Diagram sheet. Reading & writing grade
Assignment #3 Gather three items in a small bag that tell about the book. Reading & speaking grade Present to the class why those items remind you of the book.
* All assignments are to be completed in cursive writing and are due on the first day of school. Don’t worry about your handwriting. The more you practice, the better you’ll get at it.
