Your assignment is to read two books. One is NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH and the other is a book from the list above. You are to complete two book reports. Read the directions below and follow the instructions for writing the book reports.
I. Cover sheet: include title, author, a picture of a scene from the book, and
your name.
II. Complete a graphic organizer for the story.
III.Choose a character from the story and complete an attribute chart of the
physical and character traits. Use a T graph.
IV. Write a summary that is two typed, 12 font, double-spaced pages.
A. Paragraph 1 – include title (that is underlined or in italics), author, genre, problem, and a strong sentence to make me want to read on.
B. Paragraph 2 and on - Write the summary. Use details from the story and back them up. Do not use dialogue unless necessary.
V. Write a review that is three paragraphs.
A. Paragraph 1 – write title, author, genre, setting, theme, and characters in the book.
B. Paragraph 2 – take a quote, line, or rewrite a paragraph and explain why it is important in the book
C. Paragraph 3 – Did you like the book? Why/Why not – explain.
The reports will count as a reading and writing grade and are due the first day of school.
