Principal's Corner

Dear Parents, Students and Friends of St. Ann's,

This year St. Ann’s continues its second decade as a Middle States Accredited School. Our Mission to treat each child as a “unique and unrepeatable gift from God” guides our veteran faculty and staff to meet the needs of every student in our care. Building on academic excellence, faith formation and Christian community of the last 20 years, St. Ann’s looks forward to the challenges of the 21st Century.

St. Ann’s is blessed to have a dedicated and stable faculty. This year, Linda Caporale, our 8th grade teacher, celebrates her 25th year of teaching. Our 4th grade teacher, Joanne Palombini, has been awarded the ELIZABETH ANN SETON COMPASSIONATE TEACHER OF THE YEAR honor. She joins previous winner Jacquline Pezzullo to give St. Ann’s two teacher of the year award winners. Both of these exceptional teachers will be recognized at the Teacher’s Institute this year. We are extremely proud of both of them.

Even our newest teacher comes to St. Ann’s with over 30 years of teaching experience. Constance Addabbo is our new Jr. High ELA teacher. She comes to us after retiring as assistant principal of Dobbs Ferry High School. We are very fortunate to have Connie with us.

As we celebrate the Bicentennial year of the Archdiocese of New York, we can boast of having almost 200 years of teaching experience among our faculty. Our experience helps prepare for the future with confidence. St. Ann’s continues to pilot the new School Information System. We have established new technology in every classroom and toward learning in the Global Education Community.

St. Ann’s is a special place. Tell your friends. Come and visit, and you will feel how special St. Ann's is.

Faithfully yours,

Mr. Bock
